English for Study & Communication: Language Development for Social Science
These eight 90-minute workshops complement the Developing Your Academic Writing course taught by the CoSS International Student Learning Officer. The aim is to improve your ability to use English language for academic writing. There is no formal assessment for these workshops.
Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Write in a formal style of English using appropriate vocabulary and grammar
- Use complex sentences and noun phrases
- Effectively link information and ideas to make your meaning clear to the reader

Available to PGT students in the CoSS.

Workshops are offered at two different times each week to maximise fit with academic programme timetables. Information is available on the course Moodle.
